Background:

 

We have been helping people in developing countries for decades, but their mental health care has been vastly under-resourced.

 

We couldn't talk about mental health openly in public until the 2020 pandemic, but now we are!

 

If ever there was a time that mental health in developing countries could take off, you'd think it would be now!

 

The good news is there are models of basic mental health care that are low-cost, proven effective, and scalable.

 

The WHO is trying to figure out the best way to role these models out to the masses.

 

In the meantime, my Mind Aid website steers people to all the organizations using these models of basic mental health care, which have been helping thousands of people.

 

I want to help build these organizations' capacities, and I thought a concert would be a great way to do that!

 

Some of these organizations have been endorsed by: Bill Clinton, Forest Whitaker, Arcade Fire, Ashley Judd, Allison Janney, Zak Williams (son of Robin Williams) and Tim Shriver, founder of the Special Olympics.
