Put on Your Own Virtual Mind Aid

Concert Fundraiser!

Are you a musician?

Would you like to put on your own virtual fundraiser

for a Mind Aid charity to help people

with mental illness in developing countries?

It's super simple!

1. Choose one of the Mind Aid charities to donate to. Learn more about the charities here. If you don't know which charity to choose, I can help you.

2. Choose a percentage of your performance revenue to donate - 100%, 90%, 50%, 10% - whatever you want!

3. Use StageIt.com (or any platform you want) to perform virtually. Perform alone, or with your band, or collaborate with other bands.

4. Send all of your donation directly to the Mind Aid charity of your choice on their website. You keep the tax receipt. None of the money goes to me and Mind Aid; it all goes to the Mind Aid charity you chose.

5. Share this webpage or this poster with your musician friends to inspire them to put on a virtual Mind Aid concert as well! Consider making yours an annual concert!

- The StageIt platform has been used by Jon Bon Jovi, Jimmy Buffett, other stars, and 56k+ musicians in 135+ countries. StageIt has 835k+ registered users that you can expand your fan base with.

- StageIt lets you keep the tech as simple as performing into the webcam in your laptop with a mic, although you can get fancier than that if you'd like. It allows for a 30-minute concert plus a 20-minute encore.

- If you want, you can use platforms other than StageIt, like Zoom, etc.

- Also, if you'd rather, feel free to put on a live in-person performance fundraiser; use any way you want to raise funds for the cause! Don't let me stop you! Get creative! And go as big or as small as you want!

- Perform any songs you want. The songs can be related to mental health or not.

- You can talk about Mind Aid and your chosen charity in your performance as much or as little as you want.

- I can share your concert with the Mind Aid followers, and we can tell the charity you're raising funds for about your concert so they can share it too.

- Contact me, Matthew Dickson, Founder of Mind Aid, with any questions (info@mindaid.ca or on social media). Learn more about me and Mind Aid here.

A Large Mind Aid Concert

MindAidconcertimage.jpg

I want to put on a large Mind Aid concert (virtual/in-person) to raise funds for mental health care in developing countries!

See the Mind Aid concert pitch deck here:

Contact me at info@mindaid.ca if you'd like to perform at, help organize, or sponsor a concert!

Background:

We have been helping people in developing countries for decades, but their mental health care has been vastly under-resourced.

We couldn't talk about mental health openly in public until the 2020 pandemic, but now we are!

If ever there was a time that mental health in developing countries could take off, you'd think it would be now!

The good news is there are models of basic mental health care that are low-cost, proven effective, and scalable.

In the meantime, my Mind Aid website steers people to all the organizations using these models of basic mental health care, which have been helping thousands of people.

I want to help build these organizations' capacities, and I thought a concert would be a great way to do that!

Some of these organizations have been endorsed by: Bill Clinton, Forest Whitaker, Arcade Fire, Ashley Judd, Allison Janney, Zak Williams (son of Robin Williams) and Tim Shriver, founder of the Special Olympics.
